Wild Riding

Horse riding in Ballydowane Cove on the Copper Coast in Ireland’s County Waterford.

The Copper Coast is a UNESCO Geopark and tells the story its extraordinary geological features and the heritage of the early Victorian copper miners. The rocks around this beach feature different geological events over 460 millions years some of which started on the ocean floor, near the South Pole and over the millennia moved north.

It’s a fascinating county, covered extensively in my aptly named book Waterford, A County Revealed
